Dr. Teti Receives Grant for HIV Research

Posted in Public Health

Dr. Michelle Teti has been awarded a grant from the MU Center for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (MU PCOR ) for a project titled: Reframing life with HIV: Resilience-based messages to promote medication adherence among young men of color living with HIV. The project has two specific aims: Identify young MSM of color’s challenges, but also their resources and strengths, to adhere to HIV treatment; Use men’s input, images, and stories to craft adherence messages to better promote HIV treatment adherence among this group. Research participants will take part in a group-based photo-elicitation project in which they express their adherence challenges and strengths and ideas for new messaging via focus groups, image generation, and group discussion about new messaging.
