SHP Hosts Middle Schoolers for Mizzou Youth Experience

On Saturday, Sept. 14, Mizzou Athletics welcomed middle-school students from urban areas of Kansas City and St. Louis to campus for the Mizzou Youth Experience. The goal of the experience is to expose students to campus life and the myriad academic possibilities that Mizzou offers at a young age. The students had a full day of Mizzou fun! The day started with a campus tour, then they broke into groups and visited schools and colleges that interested them. With the help of faculty and SHP Student Ambassadors, the students were able to get a taste of what the MU School of Health Professions has to offer. 40 students visited SHP and participated in “Learn Shops” in Occupational Therapy, Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, Radiography, and Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound.
