What made you apply to be an SHP Student Ambassador?
The School of Health Professions has given me so much during my time here at Mizzou, so I wanted to find a way to give back and invest more time into the school — the ambassador team was the perfect fit for me to do so.
What residence hall did you live in? Were you in a FIG (freshmen interest group)?
I lived in Gateway Hall during my freshman year and currently live in Bluford Hall. Interestingly, I was not in a FIG, however, I now teach one!
How have you achieved academic success during your time as an undergraduate?
I have achieved academic success by making study groups with other students and going to my professors’ office hours when needed.
If you could give one piece of advice to incoming freshmen, what would it be?
Don’t be scared to step out of your comfort zone. Additionally, it is so important to put your mental health first!
