Molly Chilton is a senior from Republic, Missouri. She is majoring in health science with an emphasis in rehabilitation and will begin Mizzou’s occupational therapy program this summer. Her goal is to have a career as a pediatric occupational therapist.
“For those new to the Mizzou family, never be afraid to reach out for advice or support!” Molly says. “From personal experience, the School of Health professions staff, professors, and fellow students have all been extremely helpful in my transfer to Mizzou and getting involved on campus.”
In addition to serving as a student ambassador, Molly is involved with the Pre-Occupational Therapy Association and loves her position as a preschool aide in Columbia.
What is your favorite place on campus?
During breaks between classes, you can usually find me taking a walk around the Quad or reading a book on one of the many park benches.
When did you know Mizzou was “the one”?
I spoke with many students and staff who helped me through all of the details of the transfer process. Each and every person was so passionate about their school, eager to help, and excited for me to join the Tiger family!
Why did you choose your major?
For me, OT is an avenue to help individuals find comfort and enjoyment in their lives. I love getting to know people and celebrating their hard work in overcoming obstacles.
