Megan Pospisil is a senior from Kansas City, Missouri. She is a health science major with minors in both human development and family science and psychology. She begins occupational therapy school at Mizzou this summer.

“The School of Health Professions gives students so many opportunities to get involved, whether it be socially or academically,” Megan says. “I would tell new students to get involved right away. It is a great way to meet people and make the most of your time at Mizzou!”

In addition to serving as a student ambassador for the School of Health Professions, Megan is involved in a variety of activities such as Mizzou Unity Coalition, Sigma Eta Rho, and the Pre-Occupational Therapy Association.

What has been your favorite class so far?

Health Psychology. It was fascinating to combine the concepts I had learned in my psychology courses with the concepts I had learned in my science courses.

What’s your favorite free-time activity?

My favorite hobby is traveling. I studied abroad in Italy during the summer of 2017. I also enjoy reading, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, and binge watching “Friends” or “The Office.”

Why should students choose Mizzou?

Mizzou has so much to offer students. It is a prestigious, well-rounded university. Students can thrive in many ways at Mizzou, whether it is through their coursework, social life, or campus involvement.
