Emily Hirsch is a sophomore from Lee’s Summit, Missouri. She is a health science major with an emphasis in rehabilitation science. After graduation, she plans to apply to the physical therapy program at Mizzou.
“Choosing Mizzou is one of the best decisions I have ever made.” Emily says. “I have loved every moment here! My advice to incoming freshman is to branch out and meet as many people as possible. I have become really involved on campus just by talking to other students and hearing about their involvement.”
Besides being a School of Health Professions student ambassador, Emily is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She also volunteers at the Central Missouri Humane Society in Columbia.
Why did you choose your major?
I chose my major because it combines two things that I love: science and helping others. My major is health science with an emphasis in rehabilitation science. In the end, I hope to become a physical therapist!
What’s your favorite place to eat in CoMo?
My favorite place to eat in CoMo is Gumby’s. I LOVE their buffalo chicken pizza!
Why should students choose Mizzou?
Students should choose Mizzou because we’re just one big family. Everyone here is so friendly and supportive. I have made so many great friends and have loved every second here at Mizzou.
