Darycka Brown is from Memphis, Tennessee. She is a health science major with a rehabilitation science emphasis along with a minor in psychology. Darycka plans to pursue a doctorate in physical therapy to one day become a physical therapist.

“Physical therapy is a growing occupation and has so many settings to work in,” Darycka says. “This is why I would like to go into the profession and hopefully get my doctorate through Mizzou’s physical therapy program.”

In addition to being a student ambassador, Darycka has been involved in some organizations on campus such as United Ambassadors, where she served as an ambassador for under-represented minorities at Mizzou. She currently works at Mizzou’s Rec Center, where she is an office specialist for Rec Sports. Additionally, she is a facilitator Adventure Out, an organization that helps people build teamwork and problem-solving skills through various indoor and outdoor activities. In her free time, she enjoys sleeping and binge-watching shows on various streaming applications, such as Netflix.
