The MU School of Health Professions is now accepting applications for the 2022 Student Ambassador Leadership team.
Freshman, sophomore and junior Health Professions students are invited to apply, as well as seniors with at least three semesters (SP22, F22, SP23) remaining before their graduation. All applications must be typed to be accepted.
Applications are due to the Health Professions Student Services office, 101 Lewis Hall, by 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29. New ambassadors will begin service in the spring 2022 semester.
About the student ambassador role
Student ambassadors represent our school at public events and are involved in the recruitment of new students through a variety of events and activities. They meet with prospective students, attend college fairs, and represent Health Professions at Admissions events across the state and beyond. They also assist with on-campus events and may be called upon by the Deans’ Office to participate in other activities on behalf of the school.
Ambassadors should have a strong GPA, demonstrate leadership and public speaking skills, and be willing to work at multiple events throughout the year. Some ambassadors also work one hour each week in the recruitment office. New students are eligible to apply to become an ambassador because they will have met the one-semester coursework requirement by the time they are trained and start service in the spring.
For more information or to request the application in an alternative format, please contact the ambassadors’ advisor, Cheri Ghan, coordinator of recruitment, at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 573-882-3997.
