Reducing COVID-19 Related Disability in Rural Community-Dwelling Older Adults Using Smart Technology

We are recruiting older adults to take part in a year-long study. Participants will have a sensor system installed in their home for a year and receive a tailored intervention to reduce disability and improve quality of life. Individuals should be over the age of 65, live in a rural area of Missouri, and have difficulty with one or more areas of their daily life (such as getting in and out of the shower).

Development and Acceptability of an Ambient In-Home Activity Assessment Tool for Stroke

We are recruiting individuals who have experienced a stroke to help us develop a new assessment tool. Participants will have a depth sensor installed in their kitchen for 3 months. Individuals should have experienced a stroke at least 6 months prior, have difficulty using their arm during everyday activities, and are able to move around with or without a mobility device.

Feasibility and Clinical Efficacy of the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment®-BIG in Chronic Stroke: A Telehealth Approach

We are recruiting individuals who have experienced a stroke to take part in a telehealth intervention. Participants will complete the LSVT®BIG intervention (4 weeks long) using an iPad and a telehealth app. Individuals should have experienced a stroke at least 6 months prior, have difficulty using their arm during everyday activities, and are able to move around with or without a mobility device.
