Job Description

Tammy Greenup, Manager, Grants & Contracts for the School of Health Professions oversees, manages, and promotes the sponsored grant and contract activities. She works closely with SHP faculty and departmental administrators to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and guidelines, both pre- and post-award. She is SHP’s primary liaison with internal University administration and external sponsors on grant/contract related matters. Her duties include:
• Assisting faculty to create simple to complex budgets for proposal development
• Interpreting policies and regulations of funding announcements and opportunities
• Preparing monthly/annual SHP grant reports and reviewing OSPA campus reports
• Managing pre-/post-award financials, division-level grant files, effort verification reports
• Representing the Dean as the division-level delegate for grant-related documents
• Verifying SHP departmental grant files for audit and other regulation compliance

Educational Background

• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Emphasis in Accounting & Management, Magna cum Laude, Columbia College, Columbia, Missouri


Tammy has been employed in the grants and contracts field for 10 years, beginning in 2004. She worked in the MU Office of Sponsored Programs Administration for 4 years as a Senior Accountant in post-award grants and contracts administration and then worked in the MU College of Arts & Science, as a Grants & Contracts Administrator for 6 years in pre-and post-award administration, prior to joining SHP in 2014. Other previous work experience includes payroll and patient accounting work for University of Missouri Healthcare and Greenville Hospital System, Greenville, South Carolina.
