MU and Peace Corps Announce New Paul D. Coverdell Fellows Program.

The University of Missouri and Peace Corps have announced the launch of a new Paul D. Coverdell Fellows program housed in the School of Health Professions. The program offers graduate school scholarships to returned Peace Corps volunteers pursuing a Master of Public Health with an emphasis in health promotion and policy or veterinary public health. All program Fellows will complete internships in underserved American communities while they pursue their studies, allowing them to bring home and expand upon the skills they learned as volunteers. Returned Peace Corps volunteers selected as Coverdell Fellows for the public health program will be awarded a graduate assistantship that includes a tuition waiver, medical insurance subsidy, and a stipend. Per semester, in-state students will receive approximately $3,268.60 toward tuition and an $8,194.00 stipend.
