This 12-credit hour program provides students with the core public health education they need to enhance their professional knowledge. The Graduate Certificate in Public Health is available entirely online and is aid-eligible under federal financial aid rules.

Opportunity to Transition to the MPH Program

In order to be recommended for admission into the Master of Public Health Program, students must earn a B or better in each Graduate Certificate course. Course credits earned for the Graduate Certificate will be credited toward the Master of Public Health degree in the event that a student successfully completes the Certificate and decides to continue into the Master of Public Health Program.

Students who do not earn a B or better in each Graduate Certificate course may still submit a full application to the Master of Public Health Program. To be awarded the Certificate, a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on all course work that applies to the Certificate program is required.
