Master of Public Health Graduate Student Association is the student organization for the MPH program. We hold monthly meetings where we have guest speakers for academic enrichment, announcements of public health opportunities, service event announcements, networking with other MPH students, and so much more!

Benefits of Membership

  • Receive mentorship from returning students and MPH faculty
  • Opportunities to serve the campus and community on a variety of service projects, including Public Health Week
  • Encouraged to attend national American Public Health Association conference (some MPHGSA students will attend on scholarship!)
  • Participation in the annual Missouri Public Health Association conference and poster competition for scholarships
  • Potential to hold a leadership position within the organization
  • Invitation to networking events with other MPH students
  • Increases eligibility for acceptance into Delta Omega public health honors society
  • Opportunities to serve as a student representative on faculty committees to contribute to the development of MPH courses and curriculum
  • Participation in the MPH Alumni Association

Membership Expectations

  • Must attend at least 2 of the 4 meetings per semester
  • Dues are $10 for the year
  • Both masters and certificate students are eligible and encouraged to join the MPHGSA group
