Research Interests

Dr. Allen’s research interests include health disparities, immigrant health and “health in all policies.” Dr. Allen studies the impacts of state and local immigration-related policies on health for immigrants and their children. She also conducts research on methodological issues critical to using secondary data to study health disparities. The ultimate goal of Dr.Allen’s research is to help policymakers create healthier, more equitable communities by promoting health and wellbeing for immigrants and their children.
