DMU Clinical EducationClinical Education

The DMU Program is a 35-40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year Clinical Education Program. The DMU program has over 25 clinical sites through the state of Missouri in which students are placed during their clinical training or in Columbia. Students are not guaranteed to do all of their clinical rotations at one clinical site or in Columbia.

FIELDWORK & CLINICAL ROTATIONS

Students are responsible for all costs associated with clinical fieldwork, such as travel, living expenses, tuition, criminal background check, drug testing, and uniforms as required. Clinical experiences are scheduled in centers that have established educational programs and affiliation agreements with the University of Missouri. Fieldwork placements are assigned by the Clinical Coordinator. Placement at a specific facility or geographic location cannot be guaranteed. The placement process has been developed to assure an equal opportunity for selection of each placement by each student.
