Jan. 7, 2021 Aaron Thompson, associate professor and director of the social work doctoral program, has been named director of the MU School of Social Work. "Dr. Thompson received tremendous support in the selection interviews, and I am impressed by his vision for the future direction of the school," said Kristofer Hagglund, dean of the School of Health Professions. "It is apparent to me that he cares deeply about the School of Social Work, its people, and its mission." A former school social worker and principal, Dr. Thompson has helped improve the lives of countless children and families through 25 years of education, research and service.
