The SHP Office of Career Services is here to help health professions students with a number of career-related needs, including the job and graduate school search/application process, interview practice, personal statement writing, and general professional development advice. It is never too early to begin utilizing our office – we are available to assist students at all points of their college career.

Appointments

15-30 minute appointments are available with a Career Advisor and tailored to meet your individual career-related needs! Meet the Office of Career Services Staff.

Please schedule/cancel all appointments through MU Connect at least 24 hours in advance

What happens during an appointment?

After checking in at the kiosk in 101 Lewis Hall, please be seated and wait for your Career Advisor. They will come out to greet you and bring you back to the office to begin your appointment. At this time, the advisor will clarify with you why you have come in, and ask how they may be of assistance.

From there, your advisor will work with you to make progress on your career planning and the goals or needs you have specified. At the end of the appointment, your advisor will help you identify next steps, action items to complete, or may suggest a follow-up appointment.

Schedule an Appointment

  1. Log into MU Connect (muconnect.missouri.edu)
  2. Search and then click on “School of Health Professions – Career Services”.
  3. Click on the upside triangle next to the person you would like to meet with.
  4. Choose “Schedule”.
  5. Click on “Health Professions – Career Services”, you will then be asked to select the reason you would like to meet.
  6. Click the blue “Continue” button.
  7. Choose Date and Time you would like to meet. Select a date “range” to see staff availability.
  8. Click the blue “Continue” button.
  9. Add additional info if needed. Select blue “Confirm” button.
