Students completing the Bachelor of Health Sciences Degree in Athletic Training will be able to demonstrate an understanding of relevant concepts related to the following content areas:

  • Evidence-Based Practice
  • Prevention and Health Promotion
  • Clinical Examination and Diagnosis
  • Acute Care of Injury and Illness
  • Therapeutic Interventions
  • Psychosocial Strategies and Referral
  • Health Care Administration
  • Professional Development and Responsibility

Students completing the Bachelor of Health Science Degree in Athletic Training will be able to successfully pass the Board of Certification Examination and gain employment.

The University of Missouri Athletic Training Program is currently on probation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101. The program has chosen to Voluntarily Withdraw its Accreditation effective May 20, 2021. The program will remain on probation until the Withdraw is effective and the program is closed.
