The Athletic Training Program is no longer accepting applications for incoming students. Our final undergraduate cohort will graduate in May 2021. High school students interested in athletic training should contact our student recruitment coordinator to discuss degree options. Those looking to pursue a graduate degree in athletic training can find more information, including a list of participating schools, from the Athletic Training Centralized Application System (ATCAS).
The mission of the University of Missouri Athletic Training Program is to prepare students for a career in athletic training by offering quality education through a variety of clinical experiences and didactic coursework.
Upon completion of the MU Athletic Training Program (ATP), students will be eligible to sit for the national board exam, offered by the Board of Certification (BOC) to become a certified Athletic Trainer.
The University of Missouri Athletic Training Program is currently on probation by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101. The program has chosen to Voluntarily Withdraw its Accreditation effective May 20, 2021. The program will remain on probation until the Withdraw is effective and the program is closed.
