Wikoff Endows Scholarship in Occupational Therapy

Bill Wikoff noticed a Washington Post article earlier this year that cited occupational therapy as one of the best jobs in America. Reflecting on his career in OT, he wasn’t at all surprised.

Wikoff spent time here at Mizzou as a student, faculty member and department chair in occupational therapy. He recalls that his time at Mizzou made his career – not just with what he learned, but the connections he made, people he met, and experiences he had. As a department chair he struggled with turning away qualified students who would make great OTs, but who couldn’t afford to enter the program.

Now as he considers his legacy to the school and profession that so profoundly shaped his path, he has made a gift of $25,614 to establish the Wikoff Endowed Scholarship in Occupational Therapy. The scholarship will be awarded to OT students with demonstrated financial need.

Wikoff hopes that his scholarship gift will inspire others to give, and help create pathways for qualified students to enter their chosen fields.
