Mary Clark Named as New Grant Writer

Mary Clark has been named Senior Grant Writer for the School of Health Professions effective January 16, 2018. 

Mary received a BS in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill.  She has more than 20 years of experience working on research studies.  Mary has been involved in project development including assisting with grant proposals and IRB applications, recruiting and testing participants, working with biostatisticians, and coordinating personnel across institutions.  She has participated in writing proposals and post-award reports for 18 funded projects.   Since 2014, she has served as a Research Consultant for the School of Health Professions.  In this position, she assisted faculty with manuscript development and copy and content editing.  She has also been the Research Coordinator for a CDC-funded grant awarded since 2015.   She has co-authored 32 publications. 

As Senior Grant Writer for SHP, Mary will support faculty in the preparation of internal and external grant proposals including larger interdisciplinary proposals.
