Dean Hagglund Statement on Immigration Executive Order

Dean Kristofer Hagglund portrait

The School of Health Professions is home to faculty and staff members and students from around the globe. We have a great diversity of cultural and religious tradition but a common mission of improving the health and well-being of all people. The recent presidential orders on immigration do not change my or the school’s fundamental belief that you belong here, if you choose to be here. I am aware that some of you are now experiencing new challenges and the fears and concerns that accompany these challenges. I want you to know that the SHP Administration and I support you, and stand with you, as we work together as a university to determine our next steps. International students are at the heart of the diversity and vitality of our campus community, and central to the pursuit of our teaching, research and service missions.  Please let me know if you or a family member are in need of help, so that we can connect you with the best resources.
