Proffitt Among Newest KL2 Clinical Research Scholars

MU KL2 Clinical Research Scholars, David Brogan, Urmeka Jefferson, Jonathan Mitchem, Rachel Proffitt

Four MU faculty members have been admitted to the Washington University Institute of Clinical and Translational Sciences (ICTS) KL2 Career Development Awards Program as MU KL2 Clinical Research Scholars. These faculty members include:

 

  • Rachel Proffitt, OTD, OTR/L, an assistant professor of occupational therapy in the School of Health Professions
  • Urmeka Jefferson, PhD, RN, an assistant professor in the Sinclair School of Nursing
  • Jonathan Mitchem, MD, an assistant professor of surgery in the School of Medicine
  • David Brogan, MD, an assistant professor of orthopaedic surgery in the School of Medicine

 

The researchers received grants of up to $50,000 to help them become more successful multidisciplinary clinical investigators. Through the program, awardees receive instruction and mentorship to complement and inform their research activities. The awards began July 1.
